Why and how do we blush?

Do we really turn bright red or is it just a figure of speech?

And what makes us blush? What makes YOU blush?

ThanksWhy and how do we blush?
Blushing is an instantaneous physiological response to a situation we find potentially embarrassing. Each person has his or her own ';triggers'; for blushing.

To blush is to display redness in one's face; the term is usually used when the redness is a result of an emotional response, which could reflect embarrassment, shame, or modesty. Blushing can also be associated with being in love.

If redness persists for abnormal amounts of time after blushing, then it may be considered an early sign of rosacea. Why and how do we blush?
there is more then one reason for blushing sometimes it is a reaction to prescription drugs or even vitamins or other health reasons
